New Afternoon Chess Program at Manalapan Recreation

The new Chess Game Afternoons program is for children in second through eighth grades.

The Manalapan Recreation is offering a new chess program entitled “Chess Game Afternoons” for children in grades 2 through 8. Both beginner chess players and experienced players are welcome.

Nationally ranked competitive chess player and previous state champion Alex Schwartzberg, 15, will be instructing the program, offering tips and strategies on how to better your chess game. Additionally, an adult will be present at all sessions to supervise the program.

Chess Game Afternoons will be held every Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. from May 14 through June 18. at the Kuschick Pavilion within the Manalapan Recreation Center.  The program costs $75 for all six classes.

Please register online as credit card payments are being accepted at https://register.communitypass.net/Manalapan. Or, you can download a registration form to mail into the Recreation Department.
