Expect choppy surf, cool temperatures and a moderate risk of rip currents on this last weekend in September.

The National Weather Service is calling for waves of four feet and southeast swells of four to five feet. The ocean water temperature is still warm, though, at 73 degrees.

If you can find a beach open, swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards. Always bring a flotation device with you in the water.
