BRIELLE - Brielle Police Chief Michael Palmer has confirmed that a 22-year-old man drowned early Tuesday in a school board member's backyard swimming pool on Shore Drive.
The homeowner is listed as Tedd Vitale, a member of the Brielle Board of Education, according to a report in app.com.
Police responded to a report of a drowning at around 3 a.m. The chief did not identify the victim and referred questions to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
