1 Person Injured As Shed Fire Damages Home In Manchester
The shed was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — One person was injured when a shed caught fire in the side yard of a Manchester home, destroying the shed, Manchester police said.
Manchester police were called to a home on Riverside Drive about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday and found the shed engulfed in flames, Lt. Albert Vega said. Police evacuated everyone from the home but one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, he said.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which destroyed the shed and damaged the siding of the house. The damage to the house was not extensive, Vega said.

The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office conducted a preliminary investigation, which revealed the fire to be accidental.
In addition to Manchester Township police, Manchester Township Emergency Medical Services, Berkeley Emergency Medical Services, Manchester Volunteer Fire Company, Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company, Whiting Volunteer Fire Company, and Jersey Central Power & Light responded to the fire.
