2 Men Charged In String Of Smash-And-Grab Burglaries In Ocean County
The men, from Brick and Jackson, are charged in a string of break-ins including at bagel shops, delis and pizzerias, Manchester police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Two Ocean County men have been arrested and charged in a string of smash-and-grab burglaries in the county after a monthlong investigation, police said.
Ryan J. Dautorio, 34, of Jackson, and Damian A. Sanchirico, 36, of Brick, are being held in the Ocean County Jail on multiple counts of burglary and theft in connection with break-ins in Manchester, Toms River and Lakewood, Manchester Lt. Albert Vega said.
Vega said Manchester Detective Adam Guker began investigating on April 26 following a break-in at All-Star Bagel on Route 37 in the township. Officers found the burglars had smashed the glass in the front door and had stolen both the cash register and the tip jar, he said.

Guker was able through his investigation to identify Dautorio and Sanchirico as suspects in the break-ins, Vega said.
Subsequent leads and surveillance enabled authorities to capture the duo shortly after they committed another commercial burglary at Lakewood Industrial Park on Saturday, May 11, Vega said.

The stolen property from the Lakewood theft, valued at over $20,000, was fully recovered.
Sanchirico was arrested May 11, but Dautorio evaded capture until Wednesday, May 15, Vega said. A search warrant executed at a Jackson home linked to Dautorio led to the discovery of additional incriminating evidence, he said.
The continuing investigation and numerous interviews confirmed Dautorio and Sanchirico’s involvement in several other burglaries in Toms River, including incidents at NY Water Bagel, 542 Fischer Blvd., and Breakin Bread, 1177 Fischer Blvd. on April 15, and at Pizza & Panini, 452 Route 37, and Siga’s Pizza, 1808 Route 37, on April 26, Vega said.
