Fire Commissioner and District Budget Vote This Saturday in Marlboro

The annual election for the office of Fire Commissioner and budget appropriations will be held on Feb. 16 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Three Marlboro Fire Districts will hold annual commissioner elections and budget votes tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Budget breakdowns:

  • Marlboro Fire District 1 Adopts $1M Budget
    -The assessed value is down two years in a row for taxpayers, making it the second lowest cost to taxpayers in Monmouth County.
    -Taxpayer cost: .032 per $100.00, down from .033 last year.
    - John Borden, ex-chief, is running for his seventh terms as commissioner.
    -Polls will be open between the hours of 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Marlboro Fire Department.
  • Marlboro Fire District 2 Adopts Budget Under $1M
    -Polls will be open between the hours of 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Robertsville Fire Company.
  • Marlboro Fire District 3 Adopts $1.7M Budget
    -Polls will be open between the hours of 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Morganville Volunteer Fire Company.
