Flooding Begins on Spring Valley Road in Morganville

Almost an inch of rain is expected before snow falls tonight.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for Marlboro and Colts Neck, as both towns get pounded by heavy winds and rain and prepare for snowfall Friday night.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will turn into snow in the are around 5 p.m. and snow will continue into Saturday morning.

The heaviest snow is expected around 3 a.m. on Saturday, and could bring between 5 and 9 inches.

Spring Valley Road in Morganville was already showing signs of flooding. While Marlboro and Colts Neck are not in the coastal flood watch zone, both towns have several roads prone to flooding.
