Gladys Hausmann, Longtime Colts Neck Resident, Dies at 86

Prior to her retirement, Gladys was an office assistant for the medical practice of Dr. Olshansky in Red Bank.

Gladys A. Hausmann, 86, of Colts Neck, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at home. Born in Newark, she had resided in Colts Neck since 1969. Prior to her retirement, Gladys was an office assistant for the medical practice of Dr. Olshansky in Red Bank. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Gladys was predeceased by her parents, and by a brother, Edgar Nevins. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Newton B. Hausmann; by her son, Newton Jr. and his wife Ruth of Colts Neck; her daughters, Cathy Cardamone of Colts Neck, and Caryn Kaub and her husband Jim of Colts Neck; her grandchildren, Bud, Billy, Kelly, Caitlin and Kelsey; and by her great-grandchildren, Madison and Brianna.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church, 100 North Main St., Marlboro.

Interment will be in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
