Marlboro Biz Students Move To State Consumer Bowl Competition
The Marlboro High School team were winners of the Monmouth County Consumer Bowl, and now will compete for the state title in May.

MARLBORO, NJ — It's on to the state championship Consumer Bowl for a Marlboro High School team who recently won the Monmouth County Consumer Bowl competition.
Marlboro's winning team includes students Sean Gelman, Harris Pavlovsky, Benjamin Katz, Emma Corbin and Ethan Smith, all students in Marlboro High School's Business Administration Magnet Program. Marlboro High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District.
The Consumer Bowl is a game-show-style competition for teams of high school students in Monmouth County - and in counties throughout the state. The Marlboro team's advisors are Patrick Scinto and Nicole Bendik.

Students answered consumer-related questions in a multiple choice and open-ended format to test their knowledge of consumer issues, such as Internet fraud and buying and leasing automobiles, the regional district said in a news release.
The Marlboro team will now compete in May for the state championship in Trenton.

The New Jersey High School Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high school students across the state.
It was established in 1997 to educate young adults on a variety of consumer issues.
Schools participate free of charge and study materials and additional study links are provided through the state Division of Consumer Affairs website.
Student teams from Freehold Township High School, Howell High School, Manalapan High School, Marlboro High School, Middletown North High School, and Raritan High School participated, the school said.
