Marlboro Police Ride for Those Who Died

The Police Unity Tour is a a four-day bike ride that starts in New Jersey and ends in Washington DC at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, which honors officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

Nothing stopped the Marlboro Police Unity Tour from riding into Washington D.C. to honor their fallen brothers.

This year, weather tried to hault the crew, but on Monday Marlboro Police and officers from hundreds of police departments in America rode into D.C. to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The Police Unity Tour is a a four-day bike ride that starts in New Jersey and ends in Washington DC at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, which honors officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

Over the years, the tour has raised over $15 million dollars, some of which supports families of fallen officers.

The "Unity Tour," as the ride into Washington has become known, started in 1997 as a way to raise money for the memorial, and officers have adopted the event's motto as, "We Ride for Those Who Died."

On Saturday, a leg of the tour was postponed due to threatening thunder and lightning storms in the area. But Marlboro Police made it to D.C. on Monday.
