Report Of 'Suspicious Person' In Marlboro Neighborhood Prompts Search

Police say the area of Drakes Hill Road and Wyncrest Road was safe, but urge residents to check home security footage and report activity.

MARLBORO, NJ — Police responded to the area of Drakes Hill Road and Wyncrest Road Tuesday, after a resident reported a suspicious person on their property.

The area was thoroughly checked and later deemed safe, police said in a report.

But they asked residents in that area to check home security videos beginning around 4 p.m. and ending around 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.

Residents are asked to contact the police department with any pertinent information, or to report suspicious activity.

Patrol officers will continue to monitor the area and there will be an increased police presence.

The department thanked surrounding law enforcement agencies for their assistance.

The township has in place a "See Something. Say Something We Will Do Something" initiative for residents to encourage safety and communication.

  • Get to know your neighbors: Knowing your neighbors’ schedule and normal activity will help to alert you to suspicious activity. Sharing this information with those who may not have access will help to make your neighborhood a less attractive target.
