Sal Salvaggio, Formerly of Marlboro, Dies at 85
He was born and raised in Brooklyn and had raised his family in Marlboro before retiring in Manchester Twp., then coming to Freehold in 2007.

Rosario “Sal” Salvaggio, 85, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn and had raised his family in Marlboro before retiring in Manchester Twp., then coming to Freehold in 2007. Sal was a US Army Combat Veteran serving in the Korean War and retired as the purchasing agent for Moore & McCormack Lines in Brooklyn after 38 years in 1986.
He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Twp.
Sal was predeceased by his wife, Josie; brother, John; and sisters, Vita and Angie. He is survived by four sons, Anthony, Joey, John, Salvatore and daughter Rose DiLorenzo; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and his companion, Rose “Lovey” Aquilano.

Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township at 10 a.m. Burial at St. Gabriel’s’ Catholic Cemetery, Marlboro. For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Sal may be made to www.thetruth.com.
