Terrence McFarland, 54 Year Colts Neck Resident, Dies at Age 89
Born in Newark, he had lived in Colts Neck since 1959.

Terrence J. McFarland, 89, of Colts Neck, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, he had lived in Colts Neck since 1959. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Colts Neck. Mr. McFarland served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was a crane operator and a 60 year member of Local 825 - Operating Engineers in Springfield, NJ, and was a crane operator for Hoffman Trucking and Rigging in Belleville. He was an avid ballroom dancer, and his favorite pastime was tinkering around his home.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Greta Rose in 1999; and by his brother, John McFarland. He is survived by his sons, Terrence and his wife Beth of Hampton, and Timothy of Colts Neck; and by his three grandchildren, Patrick, Aidan, and Meryn.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Route 34 at Phalanx Road, Colts Neck.
