Aberdeen's recyclying center is at the Public Works Garage, located on Lenox Road off of Cliffwood Avenue. It is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and accepts co-mingled bottles and cans, newspapers, mixed papers, cardboard, metals, electronics, brush and branches, black top, concrete and brick, according to Robert Brady of Aberdeen's Public Works Department.
Bascom said that Aberdeen would not charge Matawan to use the facility. Instead, if the agreement is finalized, the two municipalities would share the costs of the recycling center.
