Part of the Real on Reel: A Documenrary Series, "Gasland," documents Josh Fox’s cross-country odyssey to find out if the controversial process of hydraulic fracturing-or-fracking-is actually safe. Following the film will be a discussion on fracking with a representative from the Food & Water Alliance.

When & Where: 7 p.m. at

The Matawan Regional High School baseball team is hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner. This event will take place on Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Come out and support the baseball program. Tickets can be purchased by any of the players or coaches, or at the door. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $6 students.
Thursday, Mar. 1
When & Where: 1:30 p.m. at
Helping those with questions regarding: Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance and drug plans. SHIP Volunteer Counselors are coordinated through RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Services Program) a division of Family & Children’s Service of Monmouth County, and come to the Headquarters Library on the first Thursday of the month. No appointment needed, walk-in for first come, first served information.
Friday, Mar. 2
When & Where: 5 p.m. at 54 Route 35, Keyport
Enjoy Knights of Columbus' Annual Lent Fish & Chips, which includes various salads, soda, cake and coffee. Price is $15.00 per person, $5.00 for children. Proceeds go towards funding our various charities in the Bayshore area.
