60th Annual Chester Fireman's Carnival Coming Up This June
Residents can help the Chester Volunteer Fire Company while having fun at the carnival, which will feature rides, games and food.

CHESTER, NJ — Now that summer is almost here, it's time for the Chester Fireman's Carnival to return.
The carnival is a fundraiser for the Chester Volunteer Fire Company, with all proceeds going to the fire department.
The popular carnival, which has become a staple community event, returns for its 60th year on June 25 and runs until June 29, held at Chubb Park. There will be a fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Friday, June 28.

This event promises rides for the whole family, games, music, food, a beer tent, and more. The Chester Volunteer Fire Company's annual 50/50 raffle is also going on, with tickets available for purchase at the firehouse, LJs Barbershop, Old Mill Tavern, and the Mini Mac Diner. Last year's prize was more than $9,500.
The Chester Fireman's Carnival is held every year during the last full week of June, from Tuesday to Saturday. Hours are typically from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Since 1921, the Chester Volunteer Fire Company has been run entirely by volunteers. They currently have over 50 active members who contribute over 6,700 man-hours per year.
