Animal Adoption, K-9 Demo, More Planned for Mendham PD Community Event

The Morris County Sheriff's Office will provide a K-9 demonstration and children can help Mendham detectives solve a case on Oct. 30.

MENDHAM, N.J.-- Mendham Township police will be holding its "Cops, Kids & K-9" community event at headquarters on Sunday.

The Morris County Sheriff's Office will conduct a K-9 demonstration.

Children can assist Mendham detectives with solving a case, Lt. Ross Johnson said.

Officers will be on hand to discuss topics such as internet safety, identity theft prevention and drug trends, Johnson added.

The Randolph Animal Shelter will have dogs and cats available for adoption.

Hot chocolate will be served, Johnson said.
