Asdal Has Business Acumen, Compassion To Lead Chester Twp., Voter Says

Supporter says mayoral candidate is fully dedicated to the township.

Dear Editor,

My family has lived in Chester Twp. for nearly thirty years. Our daughter befriended Annie Asdal in kindergarten (1994), which led to our introduction to Marcia. From the time we met Marcia, she has been a tireless advocate for our children, for the taxpayers, and for the community. She was president of the PTA and served on its board for many years. Marcia also marshalled the Chester Science Fair for over a decade. Her leadership ability and organizational skills have been evident to us since the very beginning. One of Marcia’s top priorities has always been educational excellence for the children.

More recently, Marcia has been a member of the West Morris Regional School Board. Her platform has been transparency. She has exposed the issues facing our community; the Board’s responses to them; and the effects they have had or may have on our children’s educations. Although her goal is to provide a superior school system, she has never lost sight of the taxpayer. She realizes that our resources are limited and must be used as judiciously as possible. Accountability is paramount.

Marcia possesses excellent communication skills and her candor is extremely refreshing. Her dedication to Chester and our quality of life is without equal. (And, with all of her other activities, she was able to train for and complete a marathon. That evidences her extreme physical endurance and mental determination.) She has the business acumen and the compassion to address the issues and successfully lead Chester into the future.

We are very fortunate to have Marcia as a candidate for Chester Township’s mayor. Please join me and my wife, Laura Ayers, in voting for Marcia Asdal for mayor, in the Republican primary on June 7.
