Christmas Tree Pick-Up Begins This Week In Chester Township

Curbside pickup will be available only through Jan. 13, township officials said.

CHESTER, NJ — It's officially time to get rid of the Christmas tree.

Starting on Jan. 9, Christmas tree pick-up will begin for Chester Township residents.

Trees should be placed curbside for pick-up, with all tinsel, ornaments and hooks removed.

In Chester Borough, Christmas tree pickups start on Jan. 3 and last for one month. Trees can be left curbside, but the borough says to “use discretion” for leaving disposed trees out in inclement weather.

Christmas trees can also be brought over to be accepted at the Madison Borough Recycling Center on Saturdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. from Jan. 7 to Feb. 4.
