Fresh Perspective Needed With Chester Twp. Leaders 'In A Rut,' Asdal Supporter Says
Resident believes changing of the guard will further town's needs.

Dear editor,
I believe that it is time for a change in Chester Township. My family moved to this wonderful community when my children were entering first and fourth grade. Property values were stable and rising. The local public school system provided my children with a place to learn and grow.
Over the past 14 years I have come to know Marcia Asdal through her tireless service as a public servant in my community. Her leadership of the Chester science fair, local PTO and regional school boards had a direct and positive impact on my family. I appreciate her strong communication skills as she kept community residents informed of local and regional school board issues. She was always willing to listen to feedback and create a balanced perspective on issues. She has been a strong advocate for the community she lives in, has raised her daughters and serves.

There are several issues that I believe Marcia will act as a strong advocate for our community:
1. Optimization of spending at our public schools. As a two term member of the regional high school board, president of the Chester PTO and long term leadership of the Chester science fair, Marcia will be an active leader in finding solutions to community concerns about tax inequities.

2. Insuring public safety in our community, especially through the harvest season at our thriving community farms. Municipal support on busy public roads and a review of ordinances to ensure the highest level of safety at farm businesses is necessary.
I am concerned that our municipal leaders are in a rut. A fresh perspective will bring new ideas and solutions to our community. As the economy is trying to make a rebound, we need to maximize all opportunities to improve the value of our homes, community services and school system. A vote for Marcia Asdal as Mayor of Chester Township on June 7th will put a strong, local resident into a critical leadership position in our community.
