Hit-And-Run Of Teen Under Investigation In Mendham Borough

Police say a woman picked up the teen and dropped him off at home after he was hit.

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ — Mendham Borough police are investigating the late-November hit-and-run of a local teenager, and are asking residents for information to continue the search.

The crash happened on Nov. 28, just after 6:30 p.m. Police say the teen was crossing the street in the crosswalk at East Main Street and Tempe Wick road when he was hit by an SUV.

An unknown man and woman stopped to help the teen; the woman drove the teen to his home and dropped him off there.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the car, man, or woman involved because "at this time, we have exhausted all leads," police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the borough police at 973-543-2527, or Det. Chrisopher Irons directly at 973-543-7827.
