Patriot's Race Returns To Mendham Township, Supporting Recreation Programs
There is a timed 5K and a kids' Fun Run, which includes inflatables on the race course. Register with Dad and get a Polaroid together, too.
MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Registration is still available for the annual Patriot's Race, which raises money for local programs in Mendham Township.
The race is planned for Saturday, June 15, beginning at Brookside Field, which is located at 1 East Main Street.
East Main Street and Tingley Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., per township police.

The 5K starts at 9 a.m., and the Kids' Fun Run begins at 9:45. The Fun Run includes inflatables as a part of the race course, including a slide and obstacle course, the township said. There will also be "music, games, fun and food" for all ages.
There is a $35 registration fee for the race, which includes a t-shirt; the Fun Run is $25. And since it is Father's Day weekend, registrants who sign up with Dad or Grandpa will get a free Polaroid picture and can accessorize with a mustache.

The race will be timed; awards will be divided into first, second, and third place overall for both men and women in various age groups, running from nine and under to 80 and up.
The Patriot's Race raises money for college scholarships and local charities and is considered the biggest event of the year for the Recreation Department. It also helps support recreation programs, events, and Brookside Beach.
