Primary Election Showdown Set For One Mendham Race: See Local Candidates
Voters head to the polls on June 4, the primary date for local and county seats as well for U.S. Senate and presidential nominations.

MENDHAM, NJ — Residents of the Mendhams will see local positions on the ballot in the June primary, with one community set for an intra-party showdown.
Republican voters in Mendham Borough will narrow four council candidates down to two, as incumbents Steven J. Andrew and Brennan Reilly face challengers for their seats. Opponents Matthew Bruin and Alexandra Henry Traut are part of the Morris County Republican Party ticket, filing data shows.
The Democratic primary will be uncontested in the borough, with two candidates filing in the primary for the two council seats up for grabs in November.

In Mendham Township, it will be much more straightforward — the Republican and Democratic candidates for the two committee seats expiring at the end of the year also face no opposition.

This candidate field is not yet final, as the petitions must be verified. The deadline for candidates to file a nomination petition for the primary election was Monday at 4 p.m. The primary for Morris County Sheriff and three commissioners' seats this year looks uncontested, with no Republican challengers seeking to unseat incumbents in their own party.
