CHESTER, NJ — Residents of the Chesters look to have a straightforward primary at the local level this June — and in fact, Democratic voters won't see any candidates who filed to stand against Republican incumbents at the township and borough level.

As for those incumbents, they remain unchallenged within their own party — meaning a straight path to the ballot in November, and presumably another term.

The Chester Township Mayor position and two committee seats are on the ballot this year. In the borough, two council members are also seeking to retain their seats.
