Garage Fire On Fox Hill Road In Middletown
There was a garage on fire late Sunday night on Fox Hill Road in the Oak Hill section of Middletown.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — There was a garage on fire late Sunday night on Fox Hill Road in the Oak Hill section of Middletown, the Middletown volunteer Fire Department confirmed.
The fire started at 1:55 a.m. on the 30 block of Fox Hill Road.
The first arriving officers from the Middletown Police Department confirmed a fire in the garage. Second Assistant Chief Kevin Morrissey arrived on location and requested a re-dispatch and upgraded the alarm assignment due to the heavy fire in the garage.

Middletown Fire Company No. 1 and Old Village Fire Company were the first two companies on scene and immediately began an aggressive attack operation to knock down the fire. Community Fire Company, Belford Independent Fire Company and River Plaza Fire Company also all responded to help extinguish the blaze.
Under the direction of Middletown Fire Chief William Kane Jr., approximately 40 firefighters from Middletown responded to the call, all of them volunteer. Additionally, the Middletown Township Fire Department’s Air Unit, Safety Unit and Fire Police responded to assist at the scene.

Lincroft First Aid Squad provided medical coverage during the incident. No injuries were reported.
All units cleared the scene at 3:50 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Middletown Township Fire Marshall’s office, under the direction of Edward “Buddy” Skelly.
