Middletown Early Morning Crash Ends in Hospitalization, DWI Arrest

A passenger was hospitalized and the driver charged with drunk driving after a car crash early this morning on Route 35, Middletown police say.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 early Tuesday morning near Harmony Road, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The crash involved only one vehicle, according to Middletown Police Lt. Steve Dollinger. The driver was charged in DWI, and the only other occupant in the vehicle was transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank by Fairview First Aid.

Lt. Dollinger did not have the names of the vehicle passenger or driver. Patch will be updating this story as soon as more details are made available.
