The Health Department reports that they have received numerous inquiries concerning the influenza vaccine and if it has any effect on the current virus, Enterovirus-D68, which has stricken many children across the nation this season. The Health Department states that although there is no vaccine for the Enterovirus, it is especially important for residents to receive the influenza vaccine, to lessen the risk of having a more severe illness in the incidence that they are infected with Enterovirus-D68 at the same time as influenza.
