MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown Township will host a youth basketball rec program this fall, run by USA Sport Group. It's an outdoor basketball clinic on Wednesday nights for kids 3-8 years old, held outdoors at the Tonya Keller Community Center.
Using age-appropriate equipment and hoops, this program will develop children's skills in dribbling, passing and shooting. Older players will learn game-related tactics and plays. All sessions consist of instruction and structured scrimmages.
Date: Wednesdays, from Sept. 18 - Oct. 23 Rain make-up date Oct. 30

Squirts (Age 3-4.9): 4:00 - 4:45 p.m.
Senior Squirts (Age 5-6.9): 4:50 - 5:40 p.m.
Foundation (Age 7-8.9): 5:45 - 6:35 p.m.
Squirts uses proportionately-sized basketballs to encourage players to develop motor skills and basic basketball techniques. Senior Squirts teaches fundamental techniques in passing, dribbling and shooting. Foundation adds tactics and game rules to the fundamentals.
