New Dinosaur Exhibit Opens Sept. 7 At Monmouth Museum

LINCROFT, NJ — If you're looking for something unique and local to do with kids, consider this new exhibit opening next weekend (Sept. 7) at the Monmouth Museum.
Monmouth Museum is located on the Brookdale Community College campus in Lincroft. The exhibit is all about dinosaurs and is called "Dinosaurs: Fossils Exposed."
This interactive exhibit explores the bones and fossils belonging to the magnificent, giant creatures that once roamed the Earth. From a towering T-Rex to a majestic triceratops, visitors can view and even touch six full dinosaur skeletal molds. They also have dinosaur footprints and eggs.

Kids can also enjoy a paleontological dig in the exhibit, searching for fossils.
"This exhibit is a dream come true for me," said Monmouth Museum executive director Erika Schaefer. "I’ve wanted to bring 'Dinosaurs: Fossils Exposed' to the Monmouth Museum for quite some time. It is a chance for our community to come face-to-face with life-sized dinosaur skeletons, marvel at stunningly detailed fossil replicas and embark on an educational journey."

The exhibit will run from Sept. 7 through Jan. 2, 2025. Hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
General daily admission (for all guests ages 2—64) is $14. Children under 2 are free.
"Dinosaurs: Fossils Exposed" is brought to the Monmouth Museum by the Museum of Discovery, located in Little Rock, AK.
There will also be special guided tours, educational workshops and a special Museum fundraiser.
The Monmouth Museum is a 15,000-square-foot center for arts and education located in Lincroft, on the campus of Brookdale College. The Museum features two galleries with rotating exhibits and two children’s wings, as well as beautiful garden spaces.
