Celebrate the start of autumn with fun, educational and spooky library programs for children, tweens and teens at the Middletown Library:

School Age STEM – October 1 at 4:15 p.m.: For grades K-5. Explore STEM careers with hands on activities. Siblings welcome. Register at mtpl.org.

Cards for a Cause – October 2 from 3 – 6 p.m.: Teens ages 12-18 are invited to drop in and make greeting cards for local seniors. Volunteer hours will be offered for each card. Limit of 5 cards.

Eyes of the Wild at Croydon Hall Gym – October 3 at 10 a.m. & 11 a.m.: All ages. Meet and learn about another fascinating group of animals with handler Travis Gale. Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Cornucopia PopDown Card Craft – October 7 at 3 p.m.: For ages 5 and up. Join artist David Udovic and his wife Susan as they lead a fall-themed craft. Registration is required at mtpl.org as space is limited.

Life After Graduation Workshop for Teens – October 8 at 5 p.m.: Explore career options and learn about setting short- and long-term goals with life coach Stefanie Garguilo. Register at mtpl.org.

Tween Game Night – October 8 at 7 p.m.: Bring a friend, make a friend, and join fellow tweens ages 9-12 for a night of games like Bingo, Pictionary, HeadsUp and more. Register at mtpl.org.

Brightstar Theatre presents Bullysaurus Rex at The Middletown Arts Center – October 14 at 11 a.m.: For ages 3 and up. Join a dinosaur-themed antibullying adventure to learn how to recognize, report and stand up to bullying and be a great dino-friend. Registration required at mtpl.org.

SLP Musically with Miss Kat – October 14 at 4:30 p.m.: For ages 4-9. Join a fun and accessible music experience for children of all abilities with Miss Kat, a speech-language therapist. No registration is required.

Critters and Jitters at Huber Woods Park – October 15 at 10 a.m. or October 16 at 4 p.m.: For preK-2nd grade. Join fall-themed fun at the park with a hayride, animal presentation and craft. Registration required at mtpl.org.

School Age Sampler: “Who Would Win?” – October 15 at 4:15 p.m.: For grades K-5. Explore the “Who Would Win?” book series and enjoy related activities such as skeleton scratch art. Register at mtpl.org.

Teen Magic Workshop – October 23 at 4 p.m.: Learn how to perform different tricks and illusions from magician Joe Fischer. Register at mtpl.org.

Tween Book Club – October 23 at 4:15 p.m.: For ages 9-12. Discuss books and make new friends. This month’s selection is Greenwild: The World Behind the Door by Pari Thomson. Register at mtpl.org.

Halloween Parade at Croydon Hall Gym – October 29 at 10 a.m.: Join an all ages, allergy safe Halloween parade! This year’s parade has been moved to Croydon Hall due to the library renovation.
