KEANSBURG, NJ — Police responding to a welfare check at a Keansburg home on Memorial Day encountered a man with "numerous weapons" and a chainsaw before one officer shot and injured the man, officials said.

Attorney General Matthew Platkin said the officers went into the home and came into contact with the man, "who possessed numerous weapons and a running chainsaw."
