Poricy Park in Middletown Hosting "Antique Appraisals & Backward Glances" on Oct. 5

Poricy Park Conservancy to hold Antique Appraisals & Backward Glances at Poricy Park on Sunday, October 5, 2014, 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Antique Appraisals

Bring your antique treasures for review by professional appraiser, Ina Giardina, owner of Summit Antiques Center. Ina conducts house sales and has appraised items for court cases. Please pre-register by sending an email to joycef@poricypark.org or fax to 732-842-6833. Include your name and a brief description of the item(s) you wish to have appraised. The appraisal fee is $5 for the first item and $3 for each additional item (limit 5 items). You will be assigned a time to meet with Ina.

Appraisals will take place between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. If you do not pre-register, you will be assigned a time when you arrive, based on availability.

Backward Glances

Dorn’s Classic Images will present an extraordinary record of their archive of images documenting every aspect of life in Monmouth County for over a hundred years. Many of the images possess historical relevance, nostalgic charm and human interest with clarity, extraordinary lighting and compelling composition. Images will be on display in the Nature Center beginning at 1:00pm. A brief video presentation of classic images accompanied by original music will begin promptly at 3 pm. FREE!

Copies of the video, along with Dorn’s 2015 photo calendar of local water scenes, will be on sale in the park Gift Shop. Reproductions of all images on display will be available for sale during the session. Partial proceeds of all sales will benefit Poricy Park Conservancy.

Antique Vendors

Take a stroll on the lawn visiting local antique vendors, enjoy shopping and purchasing that special antique for your home. Vendors will be open from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. (Antique Vendors interested in space, please call the Nature Center at 732-842-5966 or visit www.PoricyPark.org for registration form.

Poricy Park is located at 345 Oak Hill Road in Middletown, NJ.

The Poricy Park Gift Shop and Thrift Shop table will be open during this event, with all proceeds supporting Poricy Park.
