Update: Texas Man Charged in Early Morning DWI Crash in Middletown
A Texas man, 26, was arrested and charged with DWI after the one-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning, police say.

Police have released the name of a driver who was arrested early Tuesday morning after a vehicle crash on Route 35 in Middletown.
Joseph Lavelle, 26, from McKinney, Texas was charged with DWI, according to Middletown Police Lt. Steve Dollinger. He was released after processing from police headquarters with a notice to appear in court.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 early Tuesday morning near Harmony Road, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The crash involved only one vehicle, according to Dollinger. The only other occupant in the vehicle was transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank by Fairview First Aid. There was no update available on the condition of the passenger.
