Wilson Avenue Detour in Middletown on October 13

Starting Monday, October 13, traffic will be detoured from Wilson Avenue.

Effective Monday October 13, 2014, traffic will be detoured from Wilson Avenue onto Dogwood Terrace to Neptune Street to Mercury Street to Aberdeen Terrace back to Wilson Avenue, for about one week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. because of construction on Wilson Avenue.

The detour will be in place on weekdays, according to the Middletown Police Department’s Traffic Bureau. The area will be patrolled by the Middletown Police Department. Call 732-615-2045 for more information.

According to the Middletown Township website, Wilson Avenue from Cherry Tree Farm Road to Route 36 will be repaved by the end of the year. The Township Committee approved reconstruction of the well-travelled road in September as it was heavily damaged by the elements this past winter.
