The township has plans to repave Wilson Avenue, after a contract was approved at a September council meeting.

Wilson Avenue is slated to be repaved this year, according to Middletown Township officials.

The Township Committee approved a contract at their September meeting to improve Wilson Avenue, from Cherry Tree Farm Road to Highway 36. The well-traveled road was heavily damaged by natural elements this past winter.

The contract also includes plans for reconstruction of a section of nearby Maple Street, according to Mayor Stephanie C. Murray, who also said that both streets are scheduled to be completed by the year’s end.
