Local Student Helps Raise Awareness of Pancreatic Cancer

Jessica Fedroff, 11, of Bloomfield, a student at St. Cassian's School in Montclair, met recently with the Founder of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Pamela Acosta Marquardt, along with Kimberly Y. Payne, Donor Relations Manager, and Jolina Mitchell.

When she was five-years-old, Jessica lost her grandmother, Janice Sheldon, to pancreatic cancer less than one week after she was diagnosed.

Jessica and the leaders of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network discussed raising pancreatic cancer awareness, as well as PurpleStride New Jersey, which will take place in Parsippany on Sunday, Nov. 10.
