Why Was Murdered Student In Montclair?
An article describes Montclair as an affluent suburb known for its liberal leanings and not its murder rate.

An article in The New York Times has asked the question on many people's minds: what was Brian Schiavetti, the 21-year-old Connecticut man on William Street, doing in New Jersey?
Schiavetti, 21, was due to graduate from the Villanova School of Business in 2013 and was spending this summer working as an intern at Thomson Reuters in Times Square in Manhattan.
According to the article, Schiavetti, the youngest of four siblings, made the dean’s list in college, and the honor roll several times at Ridgefield High School, where he graduated in 2009. He was nearly fluent in Spanish, Italian and Mandarin Chinese; he played lacrosse and football and loved to play water sports, family members said.

“Why was he in New Jersey? What happened? Why?” his brother, Anthony Schiavetti, 31, told the newspaper. “All I could say is the good die young. He had a huge future ahead of him. He was the brightest. He was the best.”
Although the Essex County prosecutor’s office has said that Schiavetti was "targeted," no one has been arrested in the case.

The article quoted a police official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, as saying that a suspect had been identified but not yet located.
The article described Montclair as an affluent suburb known for its liberal leanings and not its murder rate. Sunday's murder was the second this year in Montclair. A man was shot and killed on Mission Street in February. There was only one homicide in 2011.
