'El Wingador' Plea Deal Tops Weird Crime News
Also, two women throw down aboard a public bus, police say.

Each week, Patch combs through the more shocking, surprising and often absurd alleged criminal acts and police-related incidents that unfold around the region. Here’s what went on in the last week for OMG PD.
That doesn't qualify as a cruller, sir: A customer at Krispy Kreme in Collingswood swung by to grab his breakfast one morning, and left with something extra, police say—an aluminum bike rack worth $1,000 that he jammed in his Dodge Dakota.
Enough strikes for about four at-bats: A 17-year-old from Cinnaminson raised the bar—or maybe lowered it a few feet underground—in a particularly crazy incident in Palmyra, police said. Officers said they found the boy covered in blood and seriously drunk in the middle of the street, and it only gets weirder from there.
Beyond NJ Transitdome: It's not often you see the words "melee" and "bus" used in the same sentence, but Gloucester Township Police say two women were going at it so hard that officers had to evacuate the bus and use pepper-spray to take them down. Paige James, of Williamstown, and Linda Mason, of Camden, both face multiple charges from the brawl.
Foiled by 110-year-old technology: Mark Gannon and Daniel Bennis almost got away from officers after allegedly burglarizing a home in Gloucester Township, police said. The two led officers on a 100-mph chase down Route 42, according to cops, but that tricky bit of advanced tech—the license plate—ended up being their downfall. Officers tracked the two to Gannon's home in Woodbury, where the car they used in the getaway was sitting in the driveway, stolen items still in the backseat, police said.
Do they have Wing Bowl in the slammer? Bill "El Wingador" Simmons appears about ready to find out. After pleading guilty to second-degree possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, the five-time Wing Bowl champ and Wing Bowl Hall of Famer now faces seven years in state prison.
