First Day Of School In Moorestown Approaches: Key Dates To Know This School Year

The new school year begins in less than 2 weeks. Here are some key dates to mark on the calendar.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — In less than two weeks, Moorestown students will return to classrooms.

Here are some key dates to know for Moorestown Township Public Schools as the 2025-26 school year gets closer:

  • Sept. 2: first day of school for students.
  • Sept. 23: Rosh Hashanah, no school.
  • Oct. 2: Yom Kippur, no school.
  • Oct. 20: Diwali, staff PD day; no school for students.
  • Oct. 31: staff PD day, early dismissal for students.
  • Nov. 6-7: New Jersey Education Association convention, no school.
  • Nov. 19-25: early dismissal for Grades K-6.
  • Nov. 26: early dismissal for all schools.
  • Nov. 27-28: Thanksgiving break.
  • Dec. 23: early dismissal for all schools.
  • Dec. 24 through Jan. 2: winter break.
