Main St. Water Main Replacement Starts Soon In Moorestown
The project is expected to significantly impact traffic in the area throughout the calendar year.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Work to replace the water main under Moorestown's Main Street will begin later this month.
The century-old water main runs the length of the roadway. Work to replace it is expected to significantly impact traffic in the area throughout the calendar year.
"This work is more involved than a typical paving because a 100-year-old concrete water main is also being replaced," said a township advisory. "In addition, buried trolley tracks, which have contributed to the road's premature aging, will be removed."

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 24. Crews will start by digging test pits to assess the depth of the trolley tracks between Camden Avenue and Church Street.
There may be intermittent detours that week, but overall disruptions should be minimal, the township said.
