Police arrest a man they say sold jewelry he stole from homes while working as a contractor.

Feb. 22
Burglary, 5:15 p.m. — About $1,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a house on the unit block of West Woodcrest Avenue, police said. The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m, according to a report.
Feb. 24
Arrest (theft by deception) — Police arrested Philip Bacino III, 28, of Riverside, for receiving stolen property and theft by deception. Bacino sold several pieces of jewelry at the We Buy Gold store on South Lenola Road in Maple Shade, police said, which police discovered were stolen from a residence in Cherry Hill Township in late January, where Bacino was working as a contractor under the name Bacino Brothers Inc. Bacino was placed in Burlington County Jail on $5,000 bail. According to police, Bacino sold jewelry numerous times in 2011 prior to and leading up to the theft. Theft, 9:20 a.m. — Police said scaffolding, valued at more than $500, and two 7-foot-long galvanized steel angles, valued at $260, were stolen from contractors performing renovations at PJ Whelihan’s.
