Moorestown Named 1 Of NJ's Top 10 School Districts In New Rankings

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown has Burlington County's top school system and the state's 10th-best overall, according to Niche's 2024 Best Schools and Districts.

The rankings released this week place the Moorestown Township School District at 10th out of 245 qualifying districts in New Jersey. Overall, Moorestown schools earned an A-plus from Niche, a web platform that evaluates and compares schools and communities across the nation.

Niche also assigned grades for each of the district's schools, which ranged from A-minus to A-plus. (view their grades below).

The Niche.com rankings, which have been out for the past nine years, compare K–12 schools and districts across the United States. The website combines input from current students, alumni and parents with hard data from sources including the U.S. Department of Education.

Niche said its rankings were created to provide families with valuable information—both quantitative and qualitative—on schools in their area or in a neighborhood they’re not familiar with yet.

Niche's rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that they also include input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.
