Moorestown Police Call For Clothing Donations For Assault Victims
The clothing drive runs from Friday through Jan. 29.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Police in Moorestown this week put out a call to residents to donate clothing items to be given to survivors of sexual assault.
Authorities said when people come forward to report sexual violence at Burlington County hospitals, items of their clothing are often kept and used as forensic evidence.
Contact of Burlington County, a social services program that works with sexual abuse survivors, provides clothing items for those whose are kept by authorities.

Contact has asked for donations of new items of clothing with a tag for all genders ranging in size from XXS to 3XL. The items should be comfortable and have no buttons or zippers.
Ideal donations should include sports bras, underwear, shirts, sweatpants, shorts, socks and sweatshirts, police said.

Donations can be made between Jan. 15 and Jan. 29 at Moorestown Police headquarters. Donations are accepted between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Donations can also be made to police departments in Burlington Township, Cinnaminson, Evesham and Mt. Laurel.
