MOORESTOWN, NJ — Robert "Robbie" Montalbano told a friend, "Life is short, don't waste it." A lake accident recently cut the Burlington County man's life short, but not before he impacted countless lives and helped anyone he came across, according to those close to the Moorestown realtor.

Montalbano, 53, died Aug. 13 while attending a work retreat in Austin, Texas. He was enjoying the day with colleagues on Lake Travis, when a personal watercraft struck the pontoon boat he was aboard, according to a GoFundMe in his memory.

A lifelong resident of northern Burlington County, Montalbano served the state Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) for 25 years. Last year, he retired to fully dedicate his attention to expanding his real estate business with the Keller Williams Realty Group.
