MOORESTOWN, NJ — Former Moorestown Councilman and current resident Greg Newcomer questions why there are no ELEC records for Republican candidate Vick Bobadilla in this year's election cycle, while Quinton Law's campaign has made multiple disclosures. His letter to the editor can be found below.

To the Editor:

I’m sure we’ve all seen the numerous Bobadilla campaign signs, newspaper ads, mailers, and social media ads across town, many full of half-truths and some outright lies. There is one thing that Moorestonians have not seen from the Bobadilla campaign, however, and that’s a single campaign finance disclosure.

Despite the significant amount of money that the Moorestown Republicans have spent in support of Mr. Bobadilla, according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC), not a single campaign spending report has been submitted from the Bobadilla campaign or from the group often listed at the bottom of the campaign’s literature: “Friends of Vick Bobadilla.”

This campaign finance reporting is publicly available information, and I encourage any Moorestonian who is interested to go to NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission - Home and see for themselves.

On the other hand, Quinton Law’s campaign for Town Council has made multiple disclosures to the State ELEC about their spending. It is clear that transparency is more than just empty campaign rhetoric to Mr. Law.

He is running a clean campaign, the kind Moorestonians have repeatedly demanded. Moorestonians should demand answers from the Bobadilla campaign on his lack of transparency, and where this shadow group called “Friends of Vick Bobadilla” is getting the large amount of dark money they are dumping into our little town.

As a former Moorestown Town Councilman, I am extremely alarmed and incensed. Outside money and the influence it brings has no place in our Town. Transparency is more than a catchy phrase, and we should vote for the candidate that backs up their words with action.
