MOORESTOWN, NJ — Six candidates are set to run for three available Moorestown school board seats.
Monday marked the state deadline for school board candidates to file petitions to get on the Nov. 5 ballot. Three incumbents and three challengers are running for three-year terms on the Moorestown Township Board of Education.
Board Members Cheryl Makopoulos, Melissa Arcaro Burns and Jill Fallows Macaluso are each running to retain their seats. Makopoulos currently serves as board vice president.

The field of challengers includes Caitlin Berman, Saima Abrar Bhutta and Ruchika Arora.
The candidate fields are not yet final, as the petitions must be fully certified.

Below is a list of candidates, and a campaign slogan if they submitted one. All information comes from the Burlington County Clerk's Office.

- Jill Fallows Macaluso (incumbent), "Children First"

- Melissa Arcaro Burns (incumbent)
Early voting will take place from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
