Obituary: Beatrice Jane Kraemer

Beatrice Jane Kraemer, of Moorestown, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was 86. She was the daughter of the late Ada and James Kraemer. Her sister Kay predeceased her in childhood.

She was raised in Moorestown and also spent a portion of her childhood in Long Beach, CA, while her father was in the Navy. Those early memories instilled in her a love of travel, especially by car or camper, across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Whether with "mom and dad", "Jim" or "Bernie and the kids" she covered a lot of terrain.
She was a graduate of Moorestown High School. She held various clerical jobs in South Jersey. She raised her family in Delran where she had been involved in both the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. She spent her free time at home pursuing her hobbies of sewing, knitting and reading. She was an avid reader, always a book in progress. She was an exceptional and talented seamstress, anything from her wardrobe to drapery to dolls.

She was predeceased by her second husband, James Shields. She is survived by her son, Blaine Berkowitz of Greensboro, NC and her daughter Sharon Berkowitz of Mount Laurel, NJ. Also surviving are several relatives and friends.
She will be laid to rest alongside her parents and sister at Mt Laurel Cemetery.
