Police Arrest 19-Year-Old for DWI, Resisting Arrest

Also, police investigate the theft of a particularly pricey Oriental rug.

July 18

Theft (Larchmont) — Police said someone stole jewelry and a camera, valued at a combined $3,320, from a home on Burnam Wood Drive sometime between May 21 and July 18. There were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

July 27

Theft, 1-1:30 p.m. — Someone smashed out the windows of two vehicles parked at the Jersey Wahoos Swim Club on Church Road and stole items from each, police said. A purse was stolen from one vehicle and a duffle bag containing clothing from the other. Each vehicle sustained approximately $200 damage, police said.

July 28

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 8:15 p.m. — Police arrested Michael J. Garofolo, 21, of the 100 block of Stratton Lane, following a suspicious person investigation in a wooded area near Malvern Court, according to a report. Garofolo was charged with possession of marijuana.

July 29

Attempted theft — Someone attempted to steal a company-owned vehicle from Hotel ML, causing approximately $1,000 damage, sometime between July 22-29, according to police..

Theft (Larchmont Estates) — A radar detector and cell phone charging cord—total value $70—were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the first block of Telford Lane sometime between July 28 and 29, police said.

Arrest (theft), 2:55 p.m. — Police arrested Janesha C. Allen, 18, of the unit block of Tolerance Court, for allegedly stealing approximately $600 while she was working as a cashier at the Wawa on Larchmont Boulevard, according to a report. She was released pending a court hearing.

July 29

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 10:28 p.m. — Police arrested Santo R. Perry, 23, of the 5000 block of Cherry Street, Philadelphia, and charged him with possession of marijuana after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Church Road, according to a report. He was released pending a court hearing.

July 30

Arrest (DWI/resisting arrest), 7:35 p.m. — Police arrested Edward A. Sineni, 19, of the 100 block of Cobblestone Drive, after responding to a complaint of a vehicle being driven recklessly through the neighborhood on Cobblestone Drive, according to a report. Sineni was charged with driving while intoxicated, underage drinking and resisting arrest. Lisa Sineni, 49, of the same address, was also arrested during the investigation and charged with obstruction and resisting arrest, police said. Both were released pending a court hearing.

Criminal mischief, 8:05 p.m. — Several windows were broken at the Mount Laurel Board of Education building at 330 Mount Laurel Road, setting off the burglar alarm and causing $1,000 damage, police said.

Theft, 9:30-11:30 p.m. — Someone stole three bicycles, valued at $1,300, that were mounted on a vehicle parked at the Westin Hotel, 555 Fellowship Road, according to police. A rooftop luggage carrier, worth $900, was also stolen, police said.

July 31

Theft, 9:30-11:30 a.m. — Police said a door was stolen off a Bobcat excavator parked at a construction site on Cadbury Road at Greenwood Court. The door is valued at $500.

Shoplifting, 12:20 p.m. — Police are looking for a woman suspected of stealing $439 worth of perfume from Ulta, 1470 Nixon Drive. She is described as a black female, 30 to 40 years old, with long braided hair, according to a report. Police said she was seen leaving the area in a red Ford Taurus driven by a black male. Arrest (DWI), 11:22 p.m. — Police arrested Eric D. Thomas, 46, of the unit block of Chelsea Road, Eastampton, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 38, according to a report. He was released pending a court hearing.

Theft — Someone stole a $10,000 Oriental rug from Rothstein and Company’s office warehouse on Fellowship Road sometime between December 2011 and May 2012, according to police. There was no sign of forced entry to the building or office.

Stolen vehicle (Saratoga Farms) — Police said someone stole a $700 2000 Yamaha TTR 90CC motorcycle while it was parked on the 6100 block of Church Road sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 1 and 1 a.m. Aug. 2.  

Theft — Someone stole $50 worth of plant holders from outside the Rancocas Woods Co-op on Creek Road sometime between 6 p.m. July 25 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2, according to police.

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 10:18 a.m. — Police arrested Miller F. Uwich, 37, of the 3500 block of NE 27 Avenue, Lighthouse Point, FL, during the investigation of a disorderly person in the area of the Aloft Hotel on Fellowship Road, according to a report. Uwich was arrested on an outstanding warrant and found to be in possession of marijuana, police said. He was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released after posting $1,500 bail for the warrant.

Arrest (hindering), 1:53 p.m. — Police arrested David R. Rowe, 42, of the unit block of Vanderbuilt Court, Sicklerville, after he allegedly gave officers a false identity during a theft investigation at the Lukoil on Route 38, according to a report. He was charged with hindering and released pending a court hearing.
