Police Arrest 20-Year-Old for Burglary

Also, Mount Laurel Police investigate an industrial accident in which a man was electrocuted.

July 12

Theft (Larchmont Estates), 12-8 a.m. — A fire hydrant, valued at around $1,000, was stolen from the 100 block of Willow Turn, police said.

July 17

Theft from vehicle (Rancocas Woods) — Someone stole a $150 GPS from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 300 block of Rancocas Boulevard sometime between 8 p.m. July 16 and 8 a.m. July 17, police said.

Theft from vehicle (Rancocas Woods) — Police said someone stole a portable TV, worth $80, from an unlocked vehicle on the 300 block of Cedar Lane sometime between 6 a.m. July 16 and 6 a.m. July 17.

July 21

Burglary (Laurel Ponds) — A burglar stole approximately $1,000 in jewelry from a home on the first block of Periwinkle Drive by forcing open a rear window, according to police. The incident occurred between 7:30 a.m. July 20 and 10:15 p.m. July 21.

July 22

Arrest (DWI), 3:21 a.m. — Police arrested Angelo M. Mitchell, 38, of the 800 block of Bradley Court, Mount Laurel, after he was stopped on Route 38. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing, police said.

July 25

Arrest (DWI), 1 a.m. — Police arrested Michael J. Logan, 30, of the 800 block of Kings Croft, Cherry Hill, after he was stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 73, according to a report. Logan was charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as hindering his own arrest after he allegedly gave police a fake name. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (burglary), 9:30 a.m. — Police arrested Evan P. Toepel, 20, of Boothby Drive, Mount Laurel, on July 25 for burglary. According to police, Toepel climbed into a residence on the first block of Boothby Drive through an unlocked window and stole jewelry and cash, of an undetermined value. He was charged with burglary and theft and placed in Burlington County Jail after failing to post $10,000 bail.

Theft from vehicle (The Village at Cambridge Crossing), 10:45-11:15 a.m. — A purse and its contents, valued at approximately $500, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 4300 block of Route 38, police said.

Burglary — Police said someone got into a rental unit (not their own) at Extra Space Storage, on the 100 block of Ark Road, by climbing in through the ceiling. The incident occurred between 1 p.m. July 22 and 12:30 p.m. July 25. Nothing was taken, according to police.

Industrial accident, 10:48 a.m. — A 48-year-old employee of M. Teufel Electrical, of Pennsylvania, was electrocuted while he was upgrading service for a suite on the 1200 block of Howard Boulevard, according to police. The man contacted the service line for the building and was electrocuted, suffering injuries to his face. He was taken to Virtua Hospital in Marlton by Mount Laurel EMS.

July 26

Criminal mischief — Someone bent the license plate of a vehicle on the 100 block of Golf Lane, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. July 25 and 5:45 a.m. July 26.

July 27

Arrest (DWI), 12:12 a.m. — Police arrested Mark P. Schweibinz, 27, of the 13000 block of New Light Road, Raleigh, NC, after he was stopped on Fellowship Road, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 5:28 a.m. — Police arrested Chelsea Hughes, 22, of the 200 block of Charing Way, Mount Laurel, after stopping her on Saxony Drive. Hughes was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing, according to police.
