Police: Teens Threw Furniture in Pool, Went for a Swim
Also, Mount Laurel Police investigate the theft of thousands of dollars of jewelry and other merchandise from a Broadacre Drive home.

Burglary/Theft (Spring Valley Estates), 10-10:20 a.m. — A burglar stole between $5,000-10,000 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom of a home on the unit block of Broadacre Drive after breaking in through an unsecured kitchen window, police said. The burglar also stole a $1,000 laptop and $500 worth of loose change. Police said a potential suspect was seen in the area asking for directions. He is described as a white male, heavy build, about 20 years old, driving a gray car.
Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested Erin Steel, 22, of the unit block of Creek Road, Lumberton, after T.J.Maxx security reported seeing her remove the price tags from four pairs of shoes and stuff the shoes in her purse, according to a police report. She was arrested, charged with shoplifting and released pending a municipal court appearance.
Arrest (DWI) — Police arrested Albert Shoudt, 85, of the unit block of Cypress Point Circle, after he was stopped for motor vehicle violations, according to a report. Shoudt was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and related offenses and released pending a municipal court appearance.
Arrest (DWI) — Police arrested Joseph Mealey, 48, of the 300 block of Barton Run Boulevard, Marlton, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for motor vehicle violations, according to a report. He was charged with DWI and related offenses and released pending a municipal court appearance.
Criminal mischief — Someone shot paintballs at a vehicle on the unit block of Crows Nest Court, causing an estimated $150 damage, police said.
Arrest (shoplifting/hindering) — Police arrested Shadiyah Lewis, 22, of the 100 block of Pamphylia Avenue, Bridgeton, after a Home Depot employee saw her place six programmable thermostats in her handbag and try to leave the store without paying for them, according to a report. Lewis was arrested for shoplifting and also charged with hindering after police said she provided a false identity. She was committed to the Burlington County Work Release Center on $7,500 bail pending a municipal court appearance.
Theft from motor vehicle — A Cinnaminson resident told police someone stole his car keys from an unlocked gym locker at the , entered his Honda Civic and stole his wallet, which contained $130, credit cards and a driver’s license.
July 3
Arrest (DWI) — Police arrested Khiera Greene, 22, of the 500 block of Gibbsboro Road, Clementon, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 38, according to a report. Greene was charged with driving while intoxicated and related motor vehicle offenses and released pending a municipal court appearance.
July 4
Credit card fraud — Police said a Moorestown resident’s wallet was stolen from Future Fitness in Cherry Hill and his credit card subsequently used to purchase $1,369 worth of electronics at Best Buy in Mount Laurel. The suspect is believed to be a white male in his 60s with a heavy build, police said.
Criminal trespass/hindering — Police responded to the Larchmont Swim Club after receiving a report of people swimming in the pool during closed hours and arrived to find multiple tables and chairs thrown in the pool, while a 17-year-old male juvenile and two 18-year-old males swam in it, according to a report. Matthew O’Brien, 18, of the unit block of Woodlark Drive, Mount Laurel, and Michael Cunningham, 18, of the 100 block of Banwell Lane, Mount Laurel, were charged with criminal trespass. Cunningham was also charged with hindering after police said he provided a false date of birth to pass himself off as a juvenile. Both were released pending a municipal court appearance. A complaint is pending for the juvenile.
